Dog walking in Sacramento, CA
One dog, one walk, keys or a lockbox you set up. TaskBond does not claim insurance, a kennel license, or a bonded pet-care credential. Tell the pro about bites, reactivity, and whether the dog can be around other dogs. Off-leash parks are not a default.
Where the visit changes
The same service is a different visit in a Midtown flat, a Citrus Heights ranch, and a Folsom Ranch two-story. Open the city page for the housing, access, and a task list written for that place.
TaskBond is a marketplace for independent pros. It is not a licensed contractor, and these pages are not an offer of licensed contractor work. An unlicensed pro cannot take a TaskBond job of $1,000 or more. Work that needs a building permit is outside these bookings. No off-leash guarantee, no medical care, no overnight stay on this service. Boarding is separate. An aggressive dog that the pro was not told about can be declined at the door.
Price guidance
These are catalog examples already on TaskBond, not a quote and not a survey of local rates. The pro sets the price. You see it, plus a 9% service fee and a 4% booking protection fee, before you pay.
- Dog Walking: example from $25.00 per walk
An unlicensed pro cannot take a TaskBond job of $1,000 or more. Every example above is under that cap. A larger quote needs a pro who can legally take it.
What's included
- A walk for the dog you described, on leash.
- The duration in the quote.
- Water and a waste bag as you arrange with the pro.
- A note if the dog was reactive or tired, so the next walk is honest.
What's not included
- Off-leash park time as a default.
- Veterinary care or medication the pro was not prepared to give.
- Overnight care. That is pet boarding.
- A second dog, unless the quote includes that dog.
How to prepare
- Leave a leash, bags, and water.
- Set up keys or a lockbox and test it.
- Write the route limits: no dog parks, or a specific block.
- Disclose bites, reactivity, and whether the dog can meet other dogs.
Typical time
A typical walk is often about 20–45 minutes. A longer outing is a longer booking. Heat in the Sacramento summer can shorten a midday walk; say if the dog needs morning or evening only.
Checklist
- Dog's name and leash habits
- Key or lockbox plan
- Route limits
- Reactivity or bite history
- Preferred time of day
How TaskBond works
Payment is held until you confirm the work.
This is a payment hold, not a workmanship warranty and not an insurance policy. TaskBond does not promise the job will be redone, and it does not promise a pro will answer by a set time.
- 01Book a pro or post a job
Book someone at the price they set, or post the work and accept one quote. You see the price before you pay.
- 02Payment stays on hold
The card is charged when you book or accept. The pro keeps 100% of their price. You pay a 9% service fee and a 4% booking protection fee on top. The payout stays held until you confirm.
- 03Photo, confirm, or dispute
The pro uploads a completion photo. Confirm to release payment, or open a dispute within 72 hours. If you do neither, the hold releases 3 days after completion.
If something is wrong
Open a dispute from the booking within 72 hours after the pro marks it complete. The payout stays on hold while the dispute is open. If you cannot do that in the app, email support@thetaskbond.com with the booking. Cancel before the pro accepts, or if the pro cancels, and the refund is full. Cancel after acceptance with less than 24 hours until the appointment, or after the pro has arrived, and a $59 trip fee applies, capped at the quote.
Response times
TaskBond does not publish a response-time promise. A pro accepts, declines, or sends a quote when they choose. If a paid booking is still unaccepted after 48 hours, the payment is refunded. Support email is read by the operator. There is no stated same-day support window.
Frequently asked questions
Do you walk in the afternoon heat?
Sacramento-area pavement burns paws in summer. Book morning or evening for those months, and say if your dog has a short coat or breathing trouble. A pro can refuse a midday walk.
How does the pro get in?
A lockbox, a friend, or you at home. Do not hide a key in an obvious place and call that a system. TaskBond does not keep copies of customer keys.
