Before the pro accepts
A customer may cancel a paid booking that the pro has not accepted and receive a full refund of the pro’s price, the 9% service fee, and the 4% booking protection fee.
Pro declines
If the pro declines, the customer receives a full refund. If the customer had accepted a quote but not paid, the job returns to the open pool.
After the pro accepts
If the customer cancels at least 24 hours before the appointment and the pro has not marked arrival, the refund is full. If the customer cancels with less than 24 hours until the appointment, a $59 trip fee is kept for the pro and the rest is refunded, including TaskBond fees. The trip fee is capped at the pro’s price. The same $59 trip fee applies if the customer cancels after the pro has marked arrival.
Not accepted in time
A paid booking that is still waiting for the pro after 48 hours is refunded in full. An abandoned unpaid booking is canceled after 24 hours. The check runs when booking and job pages load, and at least once a day, so it happens soon after the deadline while TaskBond is in use.
After completion
Cancellation is no longer available. Open a dispute within 72 hours of completion, or confirm the job to release payment. If nobody acts, payment can auto-release about 3 days after completion, plus up to a day because the release job runs daily.
Card disputes
A chargeback freezes payout. TaskBond may reverse a transfer already sent to the pro while the card dispute is open.
