Sacramento, Sacramento County
Moving help in Sacramento, CA
Moving help in Sacramento is carrying, not a moving company. Midtown stairs and downtown freight elevators decide the time. A Natomas house with a driveway is a different lift. You bring the truck. TaskBond does not.
What this usually looks like in Sacramento
Areas people book from in Sacramento: Midtown and downtown, East Sacramento and River Park, Land Park, Curtis Park, and Hollywood Park, Tahoe Park, Oak Park, and Elmhurst, Natomas, Pocket and Greenhaven. The full housing notes for those neighborhoods are on the Sacramento city page, so this page stays on the visit itself.
Put the neighborhood in the job note. Your street address is shared only with you and the pro you book or the quote you accept. It is not posted on an open job.
TaskBond is a marketplace for independent pros. It is not a licensed contractor, and these pages are not an offer of licensed contractor work. An unlicensed pro cannot take a TaskBond job of $1,000 or more. Work that needs a building permit is outside these bookings. Regulated household moves belong with a permitted mover. TaskBond does not provide that permit. An unlicensed pro cannot take $1,000 or more on this platform. No hoisting from balconies and no items you cannot name.
- Unload a truck at a Midtown walk-up, flights counted.
- A downtown loft with a freight elevator window you reserved.
- Load a Natomas or Pocket house from the driveway.
- Two Sacramento addresses in one quote if both stops are the job.
Price guidance
These are catalog examples already on TaskBond, not a quote and not a survey of local rates. The pro sets the price. You see it, plus a 9% service fee and a 4% booking protection fee, before you pay.
- Moving Help (labor only): example from $60.00 per hour/person
An unlicensed pro cannot take a TaskBond job of $1,000 or more. Every example above is under that cap. A larger quote needs a pro who can legally take it.
What's included
- Loading, unloading, and carrying items you can point at.
- One address, or two when both are on the quote.
- Stairs and long carries that were described before the price was set.
- Setting furniture into rooms. Flat-pack assembly is a different service.
What's not included
- A truck, fuel, or a driver. TaskBond does not provide them.
- A permitted household move. This is not that license.
- Pianos, gun safes, and balcony hoists.
- Items you cannot name.
- An unlicensed total of $1,000 or more.
How to prepare
- Book the truck yourself and write the arrival window in the note.
- Disassemble what you can, or book furniture assembly separately.
- Clear a path and protect floors if you care about them.
- Say how many people the load needs. One pro is not a crew.
Typical time
Labor is hourly per person. A typical local apartment load is often 2–4 hours once the truck is there. Waiting on a late truck is not free if the quote did not include standby.
Checklist
- Truck plan and time
- Two addresses, if both apply
- Stairs or elevator
- Heavy items named individually
- How many people you need
How TaskBond works
Payment is held until you confirm the work.
This is a payment hold, not a workmanship warranty and not an insurance policy. TaskBond does not promise the job will be redone, and it does not promise a pro will answer by a set time.
- 01Book a pro or post a job
Book someone at the price they set, or post the work and accept one quote. You see the price before you pay.
- 02Payment stays on hold
The card is charged when you book or accept. The pro keeps 100% of their price. You pay a 9% service fee and a 4% booking protection fee on top. The payout stays held until you confirm.
- 03Photo, confirm, or dispute
The pro uploads a completion photo. Confirm to release payment, or open a dispute within 72 hours. If you do neither, the hold releases 3 days after completion.
If something is wrong
Open a dispute from the booking within 72 hours after the pro marks it complete. The payout stays on hold while the dispute is open. If you cannot do that in the app, email support@thetaskbond.com with the booking. Cancel before the pro accepts, or if the pro cancels, and the refund is full. Cancel after acceptance with less than 24 hours until the appointment, or after the pro has arrived, and a $59 trip fee applies, capped at the quote.
Response times
TaskBond does not publish a response-time promise. A pro accepts, declines, or sends a quote when they choose. If a paid booking is still unaccepted after 48 hours, the payment is refunded. Support email is read by the operator. There is no stated same-day support window.
Frequently asked questions
Can movers park a truck in Midtown?
That is a curb and permit question for you to solve before the start. Tell the pro where the truck will actually stop. A pro cannot hold a yellow curb as a courtesy.
Does TaskBond provide the truck?
No. Labor only. If your move requires a permitted household mover, hire one. This booking is help carrying and loading what you already have a plan to transport.
Can one person move a whole house?
Not safely, and not honestly inside a short visit. List the heavy pieces and the floors. If the job needs two people, the quote should say so. The $1,000 cap still applies to an unlicensed pro.
