Junk removal in Sacramento, CA

Junk removal in Sacramento is often a Midtown walk-up, where the stairs are the job, or a garage in Natomas or the Pocket with a straight path. Downtown loading zones are yours to solve. Paint and chemicals stay out of the pile.

Moving & Junk

What this usually looks like in Sacramento

Areas people book from in Sacramento: Midtown and downtown, East Sacramento and River Park, Land Park, Curtis Park, and Hollywood Park, Tahoe Park, Oak Park, and Elmhurst, Natomas, Pocket and Greenhaven. The full housing notes for those neighborhoods are on the Sacramento city page, so this page stays on the visit itself.

Put the neighborhood in the job note. Your street address is shared only with you and the pro you book or the quote you accept. It is not posted on an open job.

TaskBond is a marketplace for independent pros. It is not a licensed contractor, and these pages are not an offer of licensed contractor work. An unlicensed pro cannot take a TaskBond job of $1,000 or more. Work that needs a building permit is outside these bookings. No hazardous waste, no asbestos, no medical waste, and no unlicensed job of $1,000 or more. TaskBond does not claim a city hauling franchise. If your item needs a special permit or a certified hauler, this is the wrong booking.

  • A furniture load down Midtown stairs, pieces listed.
  • A garage corner in Natomas or the Pocket, photos attached.
  • Bagged household trash in Land Park, not renovation debris full of unknown dust.
  • A single appliance only if the pro agrees they can take that appliance.

Price guidance

These are catalog examples already on TaskBond, not a quote and not a survey of local rates. The pro sets the price. You see it, plus a 9% service fee and a 4% booking protection fee, before you pay.

  • Junk Removal: example from $80.00 per load

An unlicensed pro cannot take a TaskBond job of $1,000 or more. Every example above is under that cap. A larger quote needs a pro who can legally take it.

What's included

  • The furniture, bags, and appliances you listed.
  • Carrying them from the room you named, including stairs if you said so.
  • One load sized in the quote.
  • A sweep of the area where those items sat, not a full house clean.

What's not included

  • Hazardous waste, asbestos, and medical waste.
  • A claim that TaskBond holds a city hauling franchise. It does not.
  • Items that need a certified hauler or a special permit.
  • An unlicensed job of $1,000 or more.

How to prepare

  1. Photograph the pile and name the largest pieces.
  2. Separate anything you are keeping.
  3. Say whether it is a garage, a curb, or an upstairs room.
  4. Check that the item is not hazardous before you book.

Typical time

A typical single load often takes about 1–2 hours of labor once the items are identified. Stairs, a heavy sofa, or a second pile takes longer and should be in the quote.

How TaskBond works

Payment is held until you confirm the work.

This is a payment hold, not a workmanship warranty and not an insurance policy. TaskBond does not promise the job will be redone, and it does not promise a pro will answer by a set time.

  1. 01
Book a pro or post a job

Book someone at the price they set, or post the work and accept one quote. You see the price before you pay.

  2. 02
    Payment stays on hold

The card is charged when you book or accept. The pro keeps 100% of their price. You pay a 9% service fee and a 4% booking protection fee on top. The payout stays held until you confirm.

  3. 03
    Photo, confirm, or dispute

The pro uploads a completion photo. Confirm to release payment, or open a dispute within 72 hours. If you do neither, the hold releases 3 days after completion.

If something is wrong

Open a dispute from the booking within 72 hours after the pro marks it complete. The payout stays on hold while the dispute is open. If you cannot do that in the app, email support@thetaskbond.com with the booking. Cancel before the pro accepts, or if the pro cancels, and the refund is full. Cancel after acceptance with less than 24 hours until the appointment, or after the pro has arrived, and a $59 trip fee applies, capped at the quote.

Response times

TaskBond does not publish a response-time promise. A pro accepts, declines, or sends a quote when they choose. If a paid booking is still unaccepted after 48 hours, the payment is refunded. Support email is read by the operator. There is no stated same-day support window.

Frequently asked questions

Can you carry junk down a Sacramento walk-up?

If the quote includes the flights and the pieces fit the turn. A sofa that will not turn a Midtown landing has to come apart or stay. Say the floor number.

What will you not take?

Paint, solvents, asbestos, needles, and anything the pro did not agree to haul. Appliances with refrigerant need a handler who can take them. Ask before you add a fridge or an AC unit to the pile.

Are dump fees extra?

They are included only if the quote says so. Photos of the pile are what make that number real. Add-ons discovered in the driveway get a new approval or they stay.
