Roseville, Placer County
Security camera installation in Roseville, CA
Security camera installation in Roseville scales with the lot. West Roseville and Fiddyment side yards are longer than a downtown Roseville cottage. Sun City eaves are low, which makes the ladder simpler and the neighbor distance something to check anyway. Galleria apartments follow building rules, not a house plan.
What this usually looks like in Roseville
Areas people book from in Roseville: Downtown Roseville and Roseville Park, Highland Reserve, Stanford Ranch, and Johnson Ranch, West Roseville, Fiddyment Farm, and Blue Oaks, Sun City Roseville, Galleria and Roseville Parkway. The full housing notes for those neighborhoods are on the Roseville city page, so this page stays on the visit itself.
Put the neighborhood in the job note. Your street address is shared only with you and the pro you book or the quote you accept. It is not posted on an open job.
TaskBond is a marketplace for independent pros. It is not a licensed contractor, and these pages are not an offer of licensed contractor work. An unlicensed pro cannot take a TaskBond job of $1,000 or more. Work that needs a building permit is outside these bookings. TaskBond is not an alarm company. Monitored alarm contracts, permit-required wiring, and camera work of $1,000 or more for an unlicensed pro are outside these bookings. California audio-recording rules are stricter than video. The pro aims cameras at your property. That is not legal advice.
- Driveway and front-door coverage on a West Roseville or Blue Oaks house.
- A low-eave doorbell and one side camera in Sun City.
- A smaller two-camera plan on an older downtown Roseville lot.
- A Wi-Fi test at a detached side gate before promising a wireless camera there.
Price guidance
These are catalog examples already on TaskBond, not a quote and not a survey of local rates. The pro sets the price. You see it, plus a 9% service fee and a 4% booking protection fee, before you pay.
- Security Camera Install: example from $80.00 per camera
An unlicensed pro cannot take a TaskBond job of $1,000 or more. Every example above is under that cap. A larger quote needs a pro who can legally take it.
What's included
- Mounting cameras you bought, or gear the quote adds and you approved.
- A doorbell camera and a small set of exterior cameras.
- A walkthrough of the recorder or phone app you already own.
- Aiming the view at your entry, not a neighbor's window.
- Anchors matched to stucco, siding, brick, or an eave.
- The short cable run the quote describes.
What's not included
- A monitored alarm contract. TaskBond is not an alarm company.
- Permit-required wiring.
- A whole-house cable pull through a hot attic, unless that scope is its own quote.
- Audio recording advice. Video and audio rules are not the same, and this page is not legal advice.
- Camera work of $1,000 or more for an unlicensed pro.
How to prepare
- Have the kit on site if you want labor only.
- Know the Wi-Fi name and whether the signal reaches the eave.
- Decide the doors and the driveway view before the visit.
- Check house or HOA rules for exterior devices.
- Tell the pro about stucco, brick, or two-story eaves.
Typical time
A typical camera often takes about 45–90 minutes when power and Wi-Fi are already there. Masonry, a second story, or several cameras plus a recorder takes longer. Four or more cameras can push a quote toward $1,000, which an unlicensed pro cannot take on TaskBond.
Checklist
- How many cameras, and whether you already own them
- Doorbell, driveway, or both
- Wi-Fi at the install spot
- Wall or eave material
- HOA or rental rule, if one applies
How TaskBond works
Payment is held until you confirm the work.
This is a payment hold, not a workmanship warranty and not an insurance policy. TaskBond does not promise the job will be redone, and it does not promise a pro will answer by a set time.
- 01Book a pro or post a job
Book someone at the price they set, or post the work and accept one quote. You see the price before you pay.
- 02Payment stays on hold
The card is charged when you book or accept. The pro keeps 100% of their price. You pay a 9% service fee and a 4% booking protection fee on top. The payout stays held until you confirm.
- 03Photo, confirm, or dispute
The pro uploads a completion photo. Confirm to release payment, or open a dispute within 72 hours. If you do neither, the hold releases 3 days after completion.
If something is wrong
Open a dispute from the booking within 72 hours after the pro marks it complete. The payout stays on hold while the dispute is open. If you cannot do that in the app, email support@thetaskbond.com with the booking. Cancel before the pro accepts, or if the pro cancels, and the refund is full. Cancel after acceptance with less than 24 hours until the appointment, or after the pro has arrived, and a $59 trip fee applies, capped at the quote.
Response times
TaskBond does not publish a response-time promise. A pro accepts, declines, or sends a quote when they choose. If a paid booking is still unaccepted after 48 hours, the payment is refunded. Support email is read by the operator. There is no stated same-day support window.
Frequently asked questions
How many cameras does a West Roseville house usually need?
Often a doorbell plus cameras on the driveway and the side gate, not a camera on every window. More devices raise the quote and can cross $1,000, which an unlicensed pro cannot take. Start with the doors you actually use.
Should I buy the cameras before I book?
If you want labor only, yes. Have the kit on site. If you want the pro to supply gear, say so and approve that cost in the quote before anyone buys it.
Wired or wireless?
Wireless is simpler for a doorbell and one or two cameras if the Wi-Fi reaches the eave. A larger lot, a detached garage, or a dead spot often wants a wire or a different radio plan. The pro should test the spot, not guess from the driveway.
