Handyman in Rancho Cordova, CA
A handyman in Rancho Cordova is not one housing stock. Gold River and Lincoln Village bring older doors, caulk, and patches. Anatolia and Sunridge bring move-in scuffs. Zinfandel apartments add a lease.
What this usually looks like in Rancho Cordova
Areas people book from in Rancho Cordova: Gold River, Lincoln Village and Mills, Mather, Zinfandel and nearby apartments, Anatolia, Sunridge, Stone Creek, and White Rock. The full housing notes for those neighborhoods are on the Rancho Cordova city page, so this page stays on the visit itself.
Put the neighborhood in the job note. Your street address is shared only with you and the pro you book or the quote you accept. It is not posted on an open job.
TaskBond is a marketplace for independent pros. It is not a licensed contractor, and these pages are not an offer of licensed contractor work. An unlicensed pro cannot take a TaskBond job of $1,000 or more. Work that needs a building permit is outside these bookings. New circuits, panel work, repipes, sewer lines, structural changes, and anything that needs a permit are licensed-contractor work. TaskBond does not book those, and it does not book an unlicensed pro at $1,000 or more.
- Door and drywall repairs in Gold River or Lincoln Village.
- Nail holes and a blind install in Anatolia or Sunridge.
- A minor faucet repair with the symptom and a photo.
- Hardware inside a Zinfandel rental that the lease allows.
Price guidance
These are catalog examples already on TaskBond, not a quote and not a survey of local rates. The pro sets the price. You see it, plus a 9% service fee and a 4% booking protection fee, before you pay.
- General Handyman: example from $75.00 per hour
An unlicensed pro cannot take a TaskBond job of $1,000 or more. Every example above is under that cap. A larger quote needs a pro who can legally take it.
What's included
- The tasks you list: a door that will not latch, a curtain rod, a drywall scuff, a furniture anchor, and similar small work.
- Time on site at the pro's hourly price, which you approve first.
- Basic hardware you agreed to, or hardware you left out.
- A stop when the next task would need a permit or cross $1,000 for an unlicensed pro.
What's not included
- New circuits, panel work, repipes, and sewer lines.
- Structural changes and anything that needs a permit.
- A punch list so long it is really a remodel.
- An unlicensed total of $1,000 or more.
How to prepare
- Write the list in priority order. Three tasks is a clearer quote than 'a few things.'
- Send a photo of the one job that is hard to describe.
- Have a ladder path and the rooms unlocked.
- Say if you rent, and which walls cannot be drilled.
Typical time
Handyman time is hourly. A typical single small task is often about 1 hour. A list of several tasks often runs longer. The quote is the pro's rate for the list you approved, not a flat price TaskBond sets.
Checklist
- Ordered task list
- Photos of the awkward item
- Parts you already bought
- Neighborhood and parking
- Rental limits, if any
How TaskBond works
Payment is held until you confirm the work.
This is a payment hold, not a workmanship warranty and not an insurance policy. TaskBond does not promise the job will be redone, and it does not promise a pro will answer by a set time.
- 01Book a pro or post a job
Book someone at the price they set, or post the work and accept one quote. You see the price before you pay.
- 02Payment stays on hold
The card is charged when you book or accept. The pro keeps 100% of their price. You pay a 9% service fee and a 4% booking protection fee on top. The payout stays held until you confirm.
- 03Photo, confirm, or dispute
The pro uploads a completion photo. Confirm to release payment, or open a dispute within 72 hours. If you do neither, the hold releases 3 days after completion.
If something is wrong
Open a dispute from the booking within 72 hours after the pro marks it complete. The payout stays on hold while the dispute is open. If you cannot do that in the app, email support@thetaskbond.com with the booking. Cancel before the pro accepts, or if the pro cancels, and the refund is full. Cancel after acceptance with less than 24 hours until the appointment, or after the pro has arrived, and a $59 trip fee applies, capped at the quote.
Response times
TaskBond does not publish a response-time promise. A pro accepts, declines, or sends a quote when they choose. If a paid booking is still unaccepted after 48 hours, the payment is refunded. Support email is read by the operator. There is no stated same-day support window.
Frequently asked questions
Should I book Gold River and Anatolia the same way?
Use the same city and name the neighborhood. The pro needs to know if this is a 30-year-old bath or a new drywall scuff. The price is theirs, based on that description, not a citywide flat rate.
What is too big for this handyman visit?
Work at $1,000 or more for an unlicensed pro, and work that needs a permit. That includes a service panel, a new circuit, a repipe, moving a wall, and a bathroom gut. The pro should say so before starting, not halfway through a demo.
Can a handyman do electrical or plumbing?
Only the small end: a fixture swap, a cover plate, a running toilet, a dripping faucet. If the job needs a permit or opens the panel, it is not this booking. Say what the symptom is and send a photo.
