Pet boarding in Elk Grove, CA
Pet boarding in Elk Grove is a handoff from a Laguna, Franklin, or Old Town home to the pro's setup. Yards and other pets matter more than the HOA of your house. This is not a commercial kennel stay and not veterinary boarding.
What this usually looks like in Elk Grove
Areas people book from in Elk Grove: Laguna and Laguna West, Stonelake, Franklin and East Franklin, Sheldon and Camden, Old Town Elk Grove. The full housing notes for those neighborhoods are on the Elk Grove city page, so this page stays on the visit itself.
Put the neighborhood in the job note. Your street address is shared only with you and the pro you book or the quote you accept. It is not posted on an open job.
TaskBond is a marketplace for independent pros. It is not a licensed contractor, and these pages are not an offer of licensed contractor work. An unlicensed pro cannot take a TaskBond job of $1,000 or more. Work that needs a building permit is outside these bookings. No veterinary care, no license or insurance claim, and no unlicensed job of $1,000 or more. A long stay can cross that cap. Split dates or book a pro who can legally take the total.
- Overnights while you are away, number of nights listed.
- A dog from Stonelake or Sheldon with food sent along.
- Written meds, not a verbal aside.
- A note if the dog cannot be around cats or children.
Price guidance
These are catalog examples already on TaskBond, not a quote and not a survey of local rates. The pro sets the price. You see it, plus a 9% service fee and a 4% booking protection fee, before you pay.
- Pet Boarding: example from $40.00 per night
An unlicensed pro cannot take a TaskBond job of $1,000 or more. Every example above is under that cap. A larger quote needs a pro who can legally take it.
What's included
- The nights in the quote, in the setting the pro described: their home or yours, as written.
- Feeding and walks on the schedule you provided.
- A way to reach the pro during the stay that you agree on before paying.
What's not included
- Veterinary care.
- A claim that TaskBond runs a licensed kennel. It does not.
- Medication the pro did not agree to handle.
- An unlicensed total of $1,000 or more. A long stay can cross that line. Split the dates or book a pro who can legally take the total.
How to prepare
- Write the feeding schedule and leave enough food.
- List medication only if the pro has agreed to give it.
- Share the vet's name for emergencies, without expecting the pro to provide medical care.
- Do a short meet before a first overnight when you can.
Typical time
Boarding is counted in nights, not hours. A typical drop-off and pickup are short. The stay itself is as many nights as the quote lists. Count the price against the $1,000 cap before you book a long stretch with an unlicensed pro.
Checklist
- Dates and nights
- Food and feeding times
- Medication, only if agreed
- Vet contact for emergencies
- Behavior around other animals
How TaskBond works
Payment is held until you confirm the work.
This is a payment hold, not a workmanship warranty and not an insurance policy. TaskBond does not promise the job will be redone, and it does not promise a pro will answer by a set time.
- 01Book a pro or post a job
Book someone at the price they set, or post the work and accept one quote. You see the price before you pay.
- 02Payment stays on hold
The card is charged when you book or accept. The pro keeps 100% of their price. You pay a 9% service fee and a 4% booking protection fee on top. The payout stays held until you confirm.
- 03Photo, confirm, or dispute
The pro uploads a completion photo. Confirm to release payment, or open a dispute within 72 hours. If you do neither, the hold releases 3 days after completion.
If something is wrong
Open a dispute from the booking within 72 hours after the pro marks it complete. The payout stays on hold while the dispute is open. If you cannot do that in the app, email support@thetaskbond.com with the booking. Cancel before the pro accepts, or if the pro cancels, and the refund is full. Cancel after acceptance with less than 24 hours until the appointment, or after the pro has arrived, and a $59 trip fee applies, capped at the quote.
Response times
TaskBond does not publish a response-time promise. A pro accepts, declines, or sends a quote when they choose. If a paid booking is still unaccepted after 48 hours, the payment is refunded. Support email is read by the operator. There is no stated same-day support window.
Frequently asked questions
Can an Elk Grove HOA pet rule affect boarding?
Your HOA does not govern the pro's home. The pro should tell you about their own housing rules and other animals. You decide if that matches your pet before you accept the quote.
Is this a licensed kennel?
No. TaskBond does not claim a kennel license. You are booking an independent pro for overnight care they describe. Ask where the animal sleeps and what other animals are there before you pay.
What if my pet needs a vet during the stay?
You are the owner. Leave an emergency contact and a vet name. The pro is not a veterinarian and should call you. TaskBond does not provide medical care.
